Black & Gray Realism Horse Tattoo By Micah Freeman

With this horse piece, Micah Freeman really leaned into softness and flow. The goal was to capture that natural movement in the mane and keep the shading smooth so it feels alive on the skin. Instead of pushing heavy contrast, it’s built up in layers, letting the details come through gradually—especially around the eye and face where it draws you in. It’s a quieter kind of realism, but it holds strong when you look at it up close.

Micah Freeman will be guest tattooing at Iron Palm Tattoos in Atlanta, GA, July 15–17, 2026. Call or text 404-973-7828. Tattoo consultations are free and walk ins are always welcome.
