A floating lobe piercing, also known as a “floating lobe” or “flobe” piercing, is a type of ear piercing that is done through the cartilage of the earlobe in such a way that the jewelry appears to be “floating” or suspended in the earlobe without any visible entry or exit points.

The jewelry is placed in the earlobe through a single hole on one side of the earlobe and then the jewelry is passed through the hole and placed in a position that it is not visible.

The healing process for a floating lobe piercing can take anywhere from 4 to 6 months. As with any piercing, it’s important to take good care of it during this time to prevent infection and promote healing. This includes avoiding certain activities, properly cleaning the piercing, and avoiding touching it with dirty hands. It’s recommended to consult a professional piercer or a doctor before getting a floating lobe piercing.
